This or something better … our search for land

As I write this update about our search for land, it seems like we’re starting over. Oh, we’ve been close to signing a contract … so close, so excited. But our *special* GPS has redirected, rerouted us several times. And guess what? We have peace at each delay for we know this GPS will get us there, that it will all happen at the perfect time.

The Perfect GPS

What is this GPS? It’s one that everyone has access to and the best thing? It doesn’t require another app … you don’t even need cellular data. It’s God’s Positional System and keeping this continually in your mind, all stress and concern is alleviated. God knows our plans, the *destination* has been set. Now, as we *drive along* towards this new chapter in our life, God is directing our steps, placing people in our path to help us, protecting us from our eagerness and impulsiveness. And through it all, we just let go, we completely trust, and we accept every setback/detour as a gift instead of fretting.

This or Something Better

For the second time in the last two months, our plans to go see potential parcels have been squashed because of winter weather conditions in northern Arizona. A few weeks ago, we were so close, so very close to signing a contract on land that seemed perfect for us. God provided wise counsel from our off-grid living mentor which helped us see the limiting ramifications this purchase would create. After listening to his counsel, we felt grateful instead of disappointed for this protection. When we first embarked on this search for land, we knew we had to let go of how and when and where – and let God guide us. Each delay only means that something better that we can imagine is being prepared for us.

Slow-down in a Construction Zone

As we drove back to Quartzsite yesterday, we encountered traffic at a standstill on I-10, moving along at a snail’s pace because of construction.

It was the perfect reminder for us right now when it seems we’re starting over on our search for land after being rerouted several times. We’re smack dab in the middle of God’s construction zone and even though it feels like nothing is happening, that we’re practically at a standstill, starting over, we know that God is constantly working to bring people and tools to us. We stand willing and open to all possibilities – the how, the when, and the where.

Keep Moving

We continue to keep moving, do what we can from where we are, holding the vision of our plans.

We’ll search for land while we continue working on our business plan and projections … learning all we can about regenerative farming and permaculture, organic gardening, composting, raising chickens … learning how to build water catchment systems, compost toilets, water filtering systems … obtaining quotes for our build-out plans as we prepare to find investors. We’ve plenty to keep us busy as we wait for our land to come to us.

We continue forward, holding the truth that brings immense peace and assurance … God is directing our steps. I don’t know if my words have given you some insight into living by God’s Positional System. If you want/need more clarification, drop a comment below.

As always, it is your love and support that means the world to us. Thank you for walking with us on this new journey.

Love and light,

Trisha
