Wearing and Caring for Rope Sandals

Tips for wearing and caring for your rope sandals

Way to go!  You will soon be wearing your rope sandals and all I can say is, your feet are going to say, “Yes! Thank you!

Your feet have most likely been wedged into all kinds of shoes … tennis shoes, heels, dress shoes, etc.  They are going to feel free and relaxed in these sandals. Even if you’re used to wearing flip-flops, there is still going to be a difference wearing these – your toes won’t have to keep grabbing on as you walk, they will take a much needed break from all that effort!

Some customers have said wearing these sandals creates a footgasm!

They are lightweight (8-11 ounces, depending on size), and extremely comfortable … not rough at all, not irritating to the point of causing blisters as new shoes often do. And they are quite durable! These are the only shoes my husband wears. He has worn his current pair for over 3 years!

Easy to Adjust!

You can make them fit more snug or loose on your foot by adjusting the rope slide located below both ankles, as shown.

Wear like Slippers!

My husband likes to wear these sandals like slippers, pulling the back strap up over his heels.

He just moves that strap forward and slips them on.

It’s great for a quick dash out the back door of our camper.

What I’ve discovered as I’ve worn these for years is that after a while, you eventually won’t really feel the need to make them that snug – it’s just that at first, you are still remembering how tight and snug your feet have always felt when crammed into shoes.

These sandals won’t fall off your feet, even when they aren’t adjusted to feel more snug.  Again, it’s a relaxed fit … your feet begin to remember how it felt to go barefoot and run through the grass when you were a kid!

Caring for your sandals

Good news! The sandals can be machine washed and dried. They are mildew and rot proof, so don’t worry about wearing them while you hike through creeks. In fact, you SHOULD try them next time you walk in a creek. They have excellent traction on those slimy, slippery creek beds.

These sandals do float! You won’t loose them on float trips, while fishing out on the lake!  However, they are not waterproof.  Wearing them in the rain isn’t advisable as they will soak up the water and become heavy and wet. This doesn’t hurt them – they will dry out just fine.

As they wear, you may notice some pieces of the rope fraying along the edges. No worries. Just snip it off, or you can even take a lighter to burn the edges off.

Enjoy the Experience!

Each sandal is made by hand, one by one  … no machine assembly line manufacturing.  And, they are made in the USA!  We’re pretty proud of that!

I’m excited for you to experience the comfort of your sandals. If your delight is as great as I expect it will be, I’d so appreciate you leaving a review on Etsy.  Each review builds integrity and trust for those who are considering them.

So that’s it!  Thank you again for your purchase.
