Dance to the Music of Your Dream

Those who dance are considered insane
by those who cannot hear the music.
― George Carlin

Dreamers have a song within them that most cannot hear.

That’s why people  try to dissuade you, try to burst your bubble, try to pull you back into their reality …

you drive them crazy by dancing to something they can’t hear.

You’ve got the song within, the song of freedom, of success of
joyful living, but most people are deaf to that melody.

You’ve got to dance to the music of your dream.

You are the song writer… you are the dreamer … you create
beautiful music because you see with your heart and hear
with the voice within that says, “YES, I can do this.”

You choose the notes, you place them on the staff, you play
them every moment in your life.

But, here’s the question:

IS YOUR SONG HARMONIOUS?

Your song is the melody played when your conscious mind
and subconscious mind are in agreement.

When there is agreement, the sound is lovely.

But when there is inconguency… it is not pleasant to listen to … there is discord, conflict, friction.

As you are writing your song, the key to finding the right key is to create  harmony between your conscious mind and your subconscious mind.
write your song

Think of the musical staff as your beliefs.

music notes

The notes you place on this
staff are your thoughts.

The melody that plays is your song, your results,
your reality.

Your thoughts are placed as notes on the stanza …
and if the thoughts are congruent (your subconscious
and conscious mind agree), the melody is sweet.

But if those thoughts are negative based such as
fear, anger, doubt, worry, bitterness, jealousy …

Well, there is discord.  The sound is harsh,
unpleasant, not harmonious.

noise

Thus, the “fix” to create a delightful melody of your song is
to retrain your subconscious mind, to remove the negative
thinking and replace it with thoughts of abundance, love,
joy, happiness, peace, well-being and gratitude.

Now, this may or may not make any sense to you as you
read my analogy of how your thoughts create your reality.

If it helps you see and understand that you can change the
melody, then that is one of the greatest rewards I receive…
helping one someone to come to a new realization about
the power they have to create a different outcome in life.

This is the process, the journey of personal development.
It’s the path of going within to uncover and discover the
limiting beliefs you have in order to replace them with new
empowering beliefs.

You are a symphony waiting to be played.

You have a song waiting to be sung.

You are the song-writer, the singer, the dancer of your
own dream.

As you continue to learn and grow yourself into an even
more magnificent person than you already are, others will
come to play your melody with you – to join your symphony.

symphony

You are connected to everyone. Those who hear your
melody will come to harmonize with you – to add their
chords, their instruments, their love and help and support.

The rhythm of the body,
the melody of the mind,
and the harmony of the soul
create the symphony of life.
B.K.S. Iyengar

You’ve got the music in you.  It’s YOUR song, it’s YOUR dream.

Play on.

Entrepreneurship gets in your blood and never leaves

Once entrepreneurship gets in your blood,
you’re HOOKED!

In looking through some old pics today, I
stumbled upon pics of the button dolls I created
and sold for 12 years – when I was a stay at home
mom with four kids.

I realized how the entrepreneur blood was running
through my veins, long before I created these unique
dolls that provided a profitable home business.

Maybe you’ve had the same experiences early in life?

Paper routes, lemonade stands, neighborhood talent
shows where tickets were 25 cents?

The seed was planted then … the idea that you could
do something which would bring money to your pockets.

Fast forward to adulthood and being a mom who desired
to be at home raising her kids rather than sending them
to daycare.

That’s when the entrepreneur seeds that had been lying
dormant began to grow again.

Those were the times of Tupperware and Avon and home
parties.  I was intrigued, but knew those businesses
would pull me away from my kids at night and I’d miss
the bedtime stories and Goodnight Moon readings.

What could I do?  What skills did I have?

I was a seamstress and a writer and a visual creative
woman.  I designed my first button doll and it all came
together for me.

Soon, our house became a doll factory … buttons, fabric,
glue guns, sewing machine, accessories and supplies
were stacked in Rubbermaid totes everywhere.

For twelve years, I kept designing and creating these
dolls and selling them at weekend craft shows.  They
became a collector’s item.  As many as I could make,
I would sell.

Button Dolls by Button Doll Creations

Why did they become so popular?  I believe it was
because they resonated with a truth, a love, a passion
for the people who bought them.

The dolls represented every imaginable hobby,
vocation and season.  I even created an Elvis doll
for my niece – dressed in a white jumpsuit holding
a guitar.

Ballerina Button Dolls by Button Doll Creations
There were pregnant dolls, gardeners, seamstresses,
teachers, nurses, ballerinas, cheerleaders, angels,
snowmen and of course, Santa.  (Each year I would
design a new collectible Santa and it caught on like
wildfire!)

Santa Button Doll

The day finally came when I grew tired of the doll
factory. My creative juices waned. Instead of being a
labor of love and creativity, it became a chore.  It was
time to close up shop, and I did.

What I loved most about the doll business was the
creative part – imagining the designs and putting those
ideas to work in the accessories of the dolls.

I love meeting the customers, seeing the delight in their
eyes when they found the perfect doll.  Creating keepsake
dolls for people who brought me their own buttons and
lace and doilies from their grandmother’s attic.

What I didn’t enjoy was the labor intensive part of
the business.  It consumed my days and night.  It took
over the house during craft season.  Buttons and headless
dolls sat everywhere waiting for the final assembly.

Yes, that entrepreneur plant had blossomed and
produced amazing fruit, then withered and died, but as in
nature, new seeds fell from the fruit…

and they were buried in the ground, waiting to emerge
as new plants.

Fast forward a few years, and the seeds began sprouting.
I was newly divorced and seeking a way to earn extra income
since I was on my own with a 13 year old daughter living
with me.

What fun I had when I ventured into selling “sex toys” to
women!  Yep!  A lucrative business for sure and here’s the
best part:  what husband wouldn’t whip out all the credit
cards when you said you were going to one of these parties?

SHOCKING!  GASP!  YOU SOLD WHAT?

What I loved about this business was similar to the doll
business.  I loved seeing the joy and delight in someone’s
eyes as they became excited about the product.

And then, I met Bruce who introduced me to internet
marketing.  It was a whole new world to me, but I quickly
saw the value of being able to reach so many more people
through a network of millions of people.

Bruce and I began dreaming together … what do we do
with the rest of our lives?  We answered in unison almost –
get a RV and travel full time.

But how?  By creating an income from home.  An
income that could be generated from wherever we
traveled … a mobile income.

The seeds have flourished and blossomed again.
Now we are traveling and working and living fulltime
on the open road in our camper.

Last November, we celebrated a year on the road!

Naked Hippies Roadtrip One Year Mark

We built our home business to fund our fun lifestyle.

And guess what we love most about this business?
You guessed it – meeting people, building friendships,
seeing the light come on in someone’s eyes as they see
that the very same kind of freedom and fun is possible for them.

Naked Hippies Team Event

Entrepreneurship is in our blood … it always has been and
it always will be.

For many like us, it’s the only way to be free.

Now we help others find their roadtrip to freedom.

I doubt that I’ll ever pull out a sewing machine again
to sew hundreds of little dresses for button dolls,

but I never doubt that I will ever do anything but what we
are doing right now … spreading the word that there is
a better way.

It’s in our blood. The seeds were planted long ago and
we continue the harvest of the fruit!

Here’s to nurturing and growing your entrepreneur seeds!

decision making

Decision Making Using the 10-10-10 Rule

Decision making stumps us sometimes, but using the 10-10-10
rule helps put everything into the right perspective.

I read about the 10-10-10 rule years ago and have used it
often in my life when making a decision.

This is how it works:

When faced with a decision and you just don’t know what
to do, ask yourself?

What will be the effect of this decision in the next 10 minutes?

What will be the effect of this decision in the next 10 months?

What will be the effect of this decision in the next 10 years?

Let’s apply this rule to the decision you will make about becoming
your own boss.

1. What will be the effect in the next 10 minutes when you decide?

If you decide YES, then probably a whew! I did it kind of sigh.
A smile crosses your face and you eagerly send me a message
to set up a free coaching session because you are ready to get going now.

If you decide NO, then nothing happens in the next 10 minutes…
as in NOTHING changes. You just keep on keeping on in the routine of life, day in, day out … nothing changes.

2. What will be the effect in the next 10 months of your decision?

If you decide YES, then in ten months, you could be earning enough
extra income that is helping pay off bills, get out of debt, send your
daughter to college, buy a drum set for your son, pay cash for Christmas
gifts instead of going further into debt, take a family vacation …

You could even begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel (which we call “fire your boss!”)

If you decide no, then the month-to-month struggle continues and…
nothing changes.  You get up, got to work at a job that pays you just
enough to get by … barely; you work all day, come home, kiss the kids
goodnight cause you had to work late … and get up and do it all over
again the next day.

3.  What will be the effect in the next 10 years of you deciding?

If you say yes, then just imagine … imagine your dream life.
Where would you live? What would you do all day?
Who would be with you?

Imagine sitting on a beach, surrounded by friends
and family, your kids, your grandkids. They were all
invited them to your private beach party because you could
afford it.  You hear the laughter, you feel the warm breezes,
you see the crystal blue waters, you smell the salty air…

You raise your coconut shell drink for a toast and say,
“never every close the door on the opportunity to live your
dream.”

If you say no … then nothing changes.  Oh, there may be
a few pay raises, a little advancement at your job – or they
may be downsizing and budget cuts that put you in the
unemployment line.  Or you may have switched job
two or three times … but you’re still at it – the 8-5.

Your kids have grown and are leaving the nest, and you
never got to take that really special family vacation.

That’s the 10-10-10 rule explained by the one thing that is
always on my mind concerning you … are you ready yet?

I didn’t have the opportunity to become a network marketer
when I was raising my kids. It wasn’t available.
Heck, we didn’t get a computer until the 90s.

My kids are all grown now and while I was raising
them, I always wished for a way to take them all on a cruise,
or to Disney World.  We never did.

One of my goals now is to take the whole family on a real
vacation … all my kids, their wives and husbands and
especially all the grandkids.

Anyway, just give this 10-10-10 example some serious
thought.

Bruce and I are determined to help 100 families this year
begin to make the rest of their lives, the very best of their
lives.

If you are brand new to the industry … we’ve got exactly
what you need to get started. (It’s only $25, one time).

If you have been working at this for a couple of years,
but are stuck … we’ve got tools and resources to help
you get growing.

No one is too young. No one is too old.

It just takes a decision.

When you make the decision to work directly with
us, we’ll get a coaching call scheduled right away.

Got questions right now?

call or message me on Facebook.

Don’t let those 10 months or 10 years slip away.

See you on the inside!

prison cells

We are the Key Masters

We are the Key Masters … those of us who are leading the way for others to follow on the road to freedom.

In this article by Joe Schroeder, he explains what out duty is as Key Masters.  It may surprise you.  It will definitely stretch your thinking. It will empower and strengthen your resolve.

The Prison Talk by Joe Schroeder

When you KNOW YOU KNOW,

that becomes your BURDEN.

Consider this:

When you FIND the ABSOLUTE truth,

your burden then,

not too strong a word,

your BURDEN then is that you yearn for the whole world to also know what you know.

Take a moment and really settle and listen to that again.

When you FIND the ABSOLUTE truth,

your burden then, not too strong a word,

your BURDEN then is that you yearn for the whole world to also know what you know.

I call that being a KEY MASTER

Here is what that means:

When you know you know,

you then go on a LIFE’S MISSION to pass on what you know to your fellow man.

THAT, and that alone has become my own burden and I suppose, my art.

TO UN-LOCK 10,000 people and share what I know that I know that I know.

Just as you will and just as you have already started.

If you have PASSION for capitalism within the INSPIRATION economy

—–THAT is where it comes from

BECAUSE you are a KEY-MASTER!

THY KEYS of FREEDOM

We are the “Key Masters” to life.

Our job is to simply hand out the “keys” of life to others who are in jail

——-and it is up to them to open the gate!

I SAID —–those who are in (mental) J-A-I-L

THEIR job is to unlock the gate of their own personal jail and to WALK out and to follow you.

That is what our job is.

NOTHING MORE.

No more bribes….

No more chasing.

Expose, involve and upgrade.

Turn buyers into partners.

Partners into clients.

(It’s servanthood versus “pay me please”)

And when we try to get “cute” and open the cell door for them and we go into their cell and pick them up and carry them out to the light—

That my friend IS WHERE WE GO ASTRAY!

THAT kind of co-dependent ego-trip is NOT what  CREATION intended for us to do.

We are Key Masters…

Nothing more.

—a movement OF the people.

The responsibility then of the Key Master is ominous.

THE BURDEN is intense.

Walking Through The Agony of Darkness…

Not only do we have to pass through fear and hell just to get to the jail cells,

we also have to live with the grief and destruction we see as we are down there passing out the keys to life.

Here is what you have to do:

  1. You have to listen to people’s “war stories.”
  2. You have to STARE mediocrity in the face: theirs.
  3. WE have to endure their lack of self esteem.
  4. We have to watch them vomit on themselves.

YOU are the Key-master…

THEY are in the PRISON of their own demise.

And we watch them EAT AT their own self-image

And we WATCH them speak DARKNESS into themselves.

THEY speak themselves down

THEY tell war stories and bitch and complain

They CRY, CRY, CRY…

But we move ahead.

And we walk past them

and say,  simply, “FOLLOW ME.”

Plus….

we have to carry with us the agony of leaving those behind us who aren’t already behind us.

Just think of it my friend,

** YOU ** walk through miles and miles of rugged terrain filled with near-death experiences along the way only to get to YOUR final destination of being a Key Master.

Then….

when you arrive at your first cell you find a mother and her child weeping in the corner, too weak to even get up to walk across the room to get the Keys of life from you.

“Here is the Key… take it and come with me.”

But they are too weak to grab your hand:

So, what do you do?

SHOULD you over-extend yourself?

You open the cell door for her, pick her and her child up and carry them to safety.

And all the while you have to walk past thousands of other women and children screaming at you as you pass—

they ARE ready to get out but can’t.

Why?

Because you used up your Keys on the first cell you passed.

On the weak.

On that lady and her crying baby.

And you WASTE your ENERGY trying to “convince” people.

Ponder this…

Do we lose our credibility when we need to cajole people into partnering with us?

The lesson: LET the CRYING Mother Be.

CARRY NO ONE OUT of the PRISON

CARRY NO ONE to the finish line

YOU

CANT

AFFORD IT

YOU ONLY SERVE those who were BORN to be released by you and NO ONE else.

And we waste our LIFE with the wrong TYPES of people.

So my Brother and Sister Gladiators  + Key Masters….

WHAT is your mission in life?

How about to be strong.

To be what the UNIVERSE intended us to be—

Gladiator Key Masters.

Walk through hell—

do your job and don’t look back.

Be honored that you were entrusted with the Keys to life.

Be honored that the UNIVERSE introduce you and me as we walked through a living hell passing out our Keys to the wrong Cell mates.

Think we each don’t participate in our own local Social-cult-ridden anti-capitalist towns?

If you think you are devoid of that, try to share your opportunity locally.

Watch the sparks fly.

So what happens?

When you WASTE your time on the wrong types of people and look back and you have wasted another year of your life——

THAT is Hell…

HELL is also when the person you are TODAY looks in the mirror and sees the person you could have been.

STARING back at you from the mirror.

I’ll be me…. You be you.

Be the best KEY MASTER that you can be.

Don’t look back my Gladiator friend.

The UNIVERSE has chosen someone else to pick up those pieces behind us and to help those who can’t

get up and walk to GRAB the Keys of Life.

The Pastor will coddle the lonely.

The 12-step programs will never go away.

Not us.

Not you.

Not me.

Because

We have a different path!

See….

If you and I do our jobs, it will enable those other people, who were “appointed” to do those things which drag us down, to do theirs.

Be a Key Master today my Gladiator friend.

Experience the genius in you on demand.

Walk your rounds and hand out the Keys of Life to the RIGHT people–not the WRONG people.

Not only are you not supposed to give them the keys of life,

BUT they will suck the life out of you if you do

–that is why you and I were appointed to this finicky profession.

To walk our “rounds” and to hand out the Keys of life.

Somehow we get confused and sidetracked…

when we start to think that our job is anything more.

YOU owe them nothing.

Beyond… POINT to the system.

POINT to TRUTH…

POINT to our fellowship and do  * NOT * look back.

BEG NO ONE

But do NOT lose your soul or your dignity in the process.

A higher consciousness is not for everyone.

It’s ONLY for people whose self image can support the ideal that this industry can help you become a Pinnacle leader.

It’s about duplication.

This is only for visionaries who can sell and lead.

This is only for the strong…

Do you understand this?

1st you inspire

2nd you involve

3rd you invite (inspire others)

The weak (97%) work for the 3% who employ them.

Others will grab a check.

You collect love.

Share love.

Grow lives.

Give more life.

That’s a better life.

Sow. Give. Share.

“What you give away you always get to keep.”

Others will get paid for what their job pays.

YOU earn income based on who you are

not what your job pays.

Employment pays once per hour.

Entrepreneurs earn over and over per hour!

Employed folks serve a boss.

You and I serve a country.

We inspire more revenue into the WORLD.

THE KEY MASTERS

An OPEN REVIVAL for Samurai Hippies and their families…

JUST walk your rounds and hand out the keys To Life.

STOP trying to “save” people.

OTHERS will assist that Mother and crying child.

THAT is not your job.

POINT———and others will follow.

STAND and others will stop and look.

Strength and Honor – JS

I’ve never been in prison, but I’ve been imprisoned.

Other than the fact that a prison is a physical place where people are forced to be… there’s really no difference between being in prison and living a life imprisoned.

Think about it… if you are living an imprisoned life,
you are caged in,
you are not free to do what you want,
you wear shackles of fear, doubt, worry, disbelief, anger, jealousy, bitterness…
your day is dictated by what others tell you to do,
you follow rules and regulations 24/7
you are always on edge
you long to be free.

The only way you get out of a real prison is determined by others.

The only way you are released from you imprisoned life is determined by you.

How?  By unlocking the door.  By deciding this is not all there is to life.

Most people live imprisoned lives.

Maybe it’s where you are right now … imprisoned and yearning for freedom.

Are you allowing others to wrongfully imprison you?

Who do you allow to negate your dreams?

“You’ve never been successful”
“You are too old, too young, too ______”
“These things are all scams, no one ever makes money in these.”

Click. The cell door slams, the key turns and you are wrongfully imprisoned. Falsely accused by words of fear, self doubt that others project into you.

You cry out NO! You’re wrong!
I’m not afraid to go after my dream. I am strong enough, smart enough, determined enough to achieve this desire that burns like a fire in my soul.

Break out! Be free! Shout to the Universe I AM. I am enough. I believe in me! I am confident. I am resilient.

And watch the cell door disappear.

Jailbreak time.

signs you are unemployable

Top Ten Signs You Are Unemployable

What are the top ten signs you are unemployable?

This list is not meant to compete with the humor of a David Letterman show.  Nor will this list include the obvious signs like pure laziness of a sloth.

This list of the ten signs you are unemployable are characteristics of the entrepreneur, the one who dares to think differently, choose another path than society dictates, and who is truly not cut out to work for a boss.

TEN SIGNS YOU ARE UNEMPLOYABLE

1.  You know you are worth MORE than what your job title says you are.

You just know this, it goes without saying. The paycheck you receive in exchange for the time you invest in your job is minuscule to what you are truly worth.  Yes, you agreed with it when you were hired, but it doesn’t represent the full value and greatness of you because there’s so much more to you than just the boxed in, steadfast employee who shows up every day and delivers the work required for the paycheck.

2.  You rebel against authority.

Now, this isn’t rebellion in the form of breaking laws. No, this is rebellion against being under someone’s thumb. Bosses tell you when you have to show up, when you can eat lunch, take a vacation, be off for your kid’s school party.  You never agreed with slavery in the history of our country and you damn sure don’t agree with it now.

3.  Competing with co-workers for the boss’s favor is sickening to you.

Oh, the ugly, selfish and destructive office politics and shenanigans among co-workers.  Brown nosing, one-upping, extreme pushes to be the “favorite” or most “recognized” among your peers, your competition as it were.

You are not in high school now, that drama is exhausting and draining. It truly sickens you and you want no part of it.

4.  There are days a ten minute break is just not enough.

There are days when an untimed, unplanned break in the routine would benefit both you and your productivity.  Days when you just need an escape to destress, or revitalize your energy. Of course, bosses don’t recognize the value of allowing anyone that kind of freedom and trust, so they rule by policies and procedures manual that says ten minutes at 9:45 and 2:45 is all you get.

5.  The pecking order irritates you, no – it pisses you off.

“You are just a ___________________.”
“This meeting is just for ____________________.”
“You are not allowed to interject here.”
“Your ideas are not valuable.”

You have keen insight and understanding that could contribute to the company, but your position puts you at the bottom of the heap for recognition.  Your words fall on deaf ears, your ideas are squashed before they even get voiced.  You are the low man on the totem pole, no matter how far up you think you’ve climbed.  There’s a pecking order and … well,  just go back to reason #1.

6.  You are sick and tired of your life being dictated by the clock.

The alarm drags you out of bed, wakes your kids up way too early so you can get everyone ready and delivered before you report to your job.  You watch the clock for your break time (if you even get one), you wait for lunch hour, you watch for the slow arrival of quitting time.  The clock rules each hour, each minute of your day.

It’s not that you wouldn’t look at a clock if you worked from home,
(although many entrepreneurs have reported an experience of time warp in their days … because they LOVE what they are doing and they absolutely do lose track of time).

You know that working from home would mean having the control over your time, instead of time having control over you.

7.  The yearly evaluation is only HR paperwork requirement fulfilled.

Every year it’s the same. You walk in, sit down and hear the words, “you’re doing a great job, but no, we aren’t promoting you.  We are happy to give you a 2% raise.  Sign here please to complete the evaluation.”

Evaluation done, HR requirements met, filed away and you walk out of the meeting thinking this is NOT how it’s going to be for me any longer. (again, go back to reason #1)

8.  You realize it was all a big lie.

All your growing up years, all you heard was in order to have a successful life, you need to go to college to get a good job, work hard for the company, retire at 65 with a retirement package and then you can enjoy all the things you’ve been dreaming of doing.

No one bothered to tell you that student loan debt is the highest debt in the country and is never forgiven by bankruptcy.  Take out a student loan and the government OWNS your ass.

No one thought it necessary to tell you the high percentage of college graduates who are unable to find a job within their field of study.

No one deemed it important to point out that the day of working for a company all your life and being secure and rewarded for it – working from the ground floor up to a high position just doesn’t happen now like it did for your grandfather or father.  Downsizing, budget cuts, restructuring happens continually and you refuse to gather unemployment several times in your life … so, you become an entrepreneur and take control of the situation.

Not a single soul told you that retirement packages disappear from the deal the closer you get to retirement.  “Mr. Johnson, there has been a change in our retirement structure and the result is your anticipated retirement benefit is less than previously stated.”

And I’m positive no one told you of the effects of stress on your body from working all those years for someone else.  You reach retirement but you are absolutely worn out physically.  Stress causes disease.
(did you know the heart attack rate is significantly higher on Monday mornings than any other day of the week?)

Nope. No one told you about this. But they should have.

9.  You have more to contribute to the world, not to just one company.

It’s not that you harbor ill wishes toward your employer.  It’s just that you know you can contribute on a much larger scale if you were your own boss.  You realize the unlimited possibilities for serving and helping multitudes of people as an entrepreneur, not as an employee.

You think bigger. You dream bigger. You know that if you give more, you receive more … but unfortunately, that is something that has a cap on it as an employee.  (back to #1 again!)

10.  You have  this song playing in your head that won’t be silent

The song is calling you to step into your own, to create the life that you desire, to build your own dream, not someone else’s.

You wake with it’s tune drifting in while you shower, you fall asleep with it playing its soft lullaby. It never stops playing. It’s with you all day at work, it’s constantly streaming into you.

It’s your own national anthem, it’s your song of freedom. Strummed on your heart strings, banged on your backbone, drifting into your eardrums, reverberating in your soul.

How did you score?

It wasn’t a test at all.  There’s not a scientific method to measure and prove that you are unemployable … it’s a knowing, a gut feeling.

I’m just sayin’ that if any of those ten signs resonated with you, and you are sitting in a cubicle reading them thinking “WTF!”  then, this article served its purpose … to get your attention and bring your awareness to being and doing greater, having more and living a life that you design.

Here’s to your Independence Day!

Stuck at a crossroad…

Oh, the adventures we have traveling the highways and backroads in
our Big Foot pickup camper.  Some days, it’s easy-breezy … some days shit happens and we find ourselves at a crossroad.

Yesterday we left LA after a glorious weekend event with over 400
fellow travelers seeking more in life – more clarity, purpose, focus and
direction.  We were physically exhausted but revved up on the energy
from the event … feeling exactly what the event theme had been
created to do — REIGNITE!

Getting out of LA was the easy-breezy part and that was a delightful
surprise. Afterall, it is LA and if you’ve driven on the 405 or the 105 or the 605 … you know what it’s like – most of the time. But not yesterday.  We sailed out of LA, headed back to Arizona.

And then, two hours from Yuma we were stalled at a crossroads.
Bruce turned off the highway to drive to the Salton Sea beach … he
knew I was longing to stick my toes in the salty waters there.

The truck died as he made the turn and there we sat between the
east and west lanes, stuck at a crossroads.  And all of a sudden, the easy-breezy day turned into one of those “grrrrrrrr” kind of days where frustration and worry start to replace the calm.

We’ve been in this place before … it happens, it’s part of the adventure of driving mile after mile on our roadtrip.  We know there is a “fix” for this and the appointment is scheduled with the mechanic in Yuma in two days – but we’ve got to get there.

And so, we did what we always do … we focused on diminishing the frustration and worry with belief and gratitude.  Belief that the truck would start again and gratitude for being stalled in a safe place, for the inner workings under the hood that we don’t understand but know this truck is reliable and powerful.

And we waited.  And waited.  Turning the key every so often to check. Waiting more. Focusing our thoughts more. Turning the key again.
Letting go of the frustration again and again.

Traffic was whizzing by on both sides of us … everyone else was moving along easy-breezy.

Ever been at a crossroads in your life?  Maybe even right now?

When something has come up to stop you in your tracks?

Could be physical, or financial, or spiritual, or in relationships.  It happens and it happens over and over.

Are you stuck, stalled and don’t know how you’re going to get moving towards what you desire?

Are you watching everyone around you whiz by easy-breezy?

Are you frustrated, worried, stressed and afraid?

As we sat there at the crossroads, we saw a pickup camper turn down the side road headed to the Salton Sea and as always we gave a “YES!” to them – the fellow travelers who travel as we do – in a pickup camper!!  YES YES YES!

That camper soon returned, parked across the road and a couple walked towards us.  “You need help?” they asked.  We met and instantly fell in love with Iris and Dan Valgarðsdóttir from Sweden, who came to the states, bought the pickup camper and started their roadtrip across the country.  You can keep up with their adventures on their blog here:  http://www.travelingthecrossroads.com/blog/2015/1/13/day-28-monday-leaving-arizona

Coincidence is only God being anonymous.

We talked, we shared our stories of roadtripping and we stood around looking under the hood of the truck.  Picture med school students looking at a cadaver for the first time … not knowing how it all works, but being mesmerized by intricacies!  “Ooh, a new radiator.”
“Battery looks great!”  “There’s where the problem is?”

Now, what we didn’t realize as we stood there was Dan and Iris also were thinking as we were … seeing the truck start up, believing it would.  Lovingly touching the solenoid thingy as I call it – the problem that is soon to be repaired.

Bruce gave it one more try … the familiar sound of the starter trying to turn over the engine was ringing in our ears as he turned the key.  And then – it happened!  The truck started, the engine roared to life and we all were dancing around whooping and hollering like we had just kicked the winning field goal.

My first words to Dan were, “thank you for laying your hands on our truck – thank you for your healing energy.”  He just smiled.

In our excitement, we forgot to grab our cameras and capture the moment.  You know we had to be completely lost in the celebration to forget to snap some pics!

We said our goodbyes reluctantly for we knew that we could spend hours sharing stories of all the adventures we’ve had on the road.
They headed north towards LA, we headed south to Yuma as the sunset painted the sky with a masterpiece finale to this day.

We’re always safe. Angels are all around us.

That’s our mantra, our belief, our experience over the last 14 months and 21,000 miles we have traveled.

We came to a crossroads again that day.  A place where we were stuck and frustrated and could have easily allowed the worry and stress to percolate and erupt into a mess of despair.

It happens as we travel. It happens in life. It happens to everyone.
It happens to you.

When it happens, know this: You are safe. There are angels all around.

Instead of focusing on being stuck, instead of worrying and giving your energy to fear … see yourself as all that you desire to be, do and have.

See it happening, feel it, believe it.

Your thoughts have the power to create exactly what you desire and the only way it works is to focus on the outcome, not on the present obstacle, the current circumstance or situation.
This is the Law of Attraction.  This is how it works.  This is how it worked for us yesterday and will work today and tomorrow and all the rest of the days of our life.

Here’s to conquering the crossroads!
