Living off the Grid can be rewarding as well as challenging.
Those of us who choose this lifestyle are very aware of this. However, a new challenge seems to be appearing….Your Government Doesn’t Like It!
Here in the LAND OF THE FREE – people are being evicted off of their OWN PROPERTY for choosing to live off the grid.
In the Land of the Free, you are unfit to decide for yourself how you want to live. And the government has all the power in the world to forcibly bend you to its will, even if it means terrorizing citizens into using public utilities.
Collecting rainwater now constitutes a crime. Being free and independent gets you threatened with eviction and hauled into court.

The vilification of people who choose to live an alternative lifestyle is extremely commonplace in modern America.
. . . people have a right to use land that they own in the manner they see fit. To use the technicalities of the law to essentially evict people from land they own reeks of tyrannical overreach and oppression of personal liberty.

It seems preposterous that this is happening in the United States – especially since there is great concern over the deteriorating environment.
Off the grid living should be encouraged by the government, not condemned. After all, it reduces the carbon footprint.
